The Department of Computer Science was established in the year 2005 with a vision to provide IT knowledge, managerial skills and Technical Skills and also Technical Advancement.
The department offers 3 years Bachelor degree in Computer Science and 2 years Post Graduation in specialization in Artificial Intelligence (New Generation Course).
The objective is to empower our students with latest technical knowledge and skills by providing them with best teaching and lab facilities.
Department pays special emphasis on teaching and hands on practical work. Students get the opportunity to exhibit their innovative skills, ideas, and potentials to discover a professional horizon for themselves.
Activities of Department
- 1. In 2008 department organised an exhibition named IT Expo 2008 which introduces many aspects including programming, hardware development and assembling.
2. in 2015 department organised IT Fest named INFOTRA’15, The event was intended for students which give them encouragement and motivation in their future studies.
3. Department yearly organises a seminar on Cyber Crime and Cyber Laws.
4. Department conducted a 3D Show on the Occasion of Karshikolsavam on 18.01.2016 to 20.01.2016 as part of Decennial Celebrations of Our College.
5. In 2016 department organised a National Seminar named Innovative Solutions for Next Generation Systems.
Achievements
Every year most of the students are getting placed in reputed IT Companies such as Wipro, Infosys, TCS etc.
In 2019 our student Nimisha T Nair secured 2nd Rank in Kannur University in MSc Computer Science.
